Monday Meeting: Getting Into the Groove

After an action packed weekend, I am more than ready to get back into writing. I'm meeting with writers at our library each day for a few hours. We have a sunny room, and lots of outlets nearby for our laptops. I am way behind any NaNo goal, but right on target for where I want to be with my drafting/revisions. I'm turning my face towards the sun this morning for a quick run, and then I'll be writing.

How about you? Let me know what your goals are this week. Let's keep each other accountable!

  1. I've been scrambling to finish my NaNo because so much has happened this month, which explains why I haven't responded to you yet. My goal this week is to finish my NaNo and get going on revising another project.

  3. I love that you meet up with other writers at your library! What a great thing. I just finished a book, so I'm in the "in between" phase...and am constantly on the prowl for new ideas. So, perhaps that will be my goal this week...one sparkly new idea! :)

  4. A run and then writing? That sounds like my idea of a perfect morning. Pea green with envy here.

  6. What a great idea. I've been using my Nano afternoons for chores, errands and appts. I need to make an appt for myself at the library to write. Thanks for the idea!!

  8. I've never entered NaNo because so much is going on this time of the year. Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand why NaNo isn't in Jan. or Feb. when not much goes on. Anyway, good luck!

  10. Alicia--finish NaNo this week? You are an over achiever!! Wow!

Anna--sounds great. You're welcome to join us in the library, although I know it's a bit far!

Vivi--I love new idea phase--good luck coming up with one!!

Angie--the day was so beautiful up here, that I had to get out into it! It was wonderful. :)

Nandini--we shouldn't stop because November ends!

Kelly--It has been very productive, but I haven't been able to keep up with on-line coworkers as much. :(

Kittie--I definitely agree! I have two birthdays to put on, one to plan, and normally Thanksgiving to host as well. It is the worst month (well, summers are probably worse) to try to churn out a novel. I just found out I don't have to host Thanksgiving, so YAY!!

Marcy--It is really great. We are loving it!

  12. Fantastic! I never got involved in a writer's group like that, but I bet it's wonderful and truly inspiring. I need to find something like this.

  13. Tina--I find I'm saying things like, If only the internet access worked in the library, I could do TPR as well. Which is funny, since we are doing TPR IRL. Although I miss you guys sorely. There is just not enough time in the day!! :( And, on some level, THANK GOODNESS THE INTERNET DOESN'T WORK IN THE LIBRARY, right? Missing you. I'll find a way to balance everything. :)

Carol--I find I cannot write alone. It is my kryptonite. You know, because I'm superman? LOL So I need people to crack the whip and keep me accountable. And it's a wonderful system. You are welcome in The Practice Room for some virtual "meeting at the library to write"! :)
